Flotex Style and Performance for Rosedale infant school

The Rosedale Church of England infant School in Willenhall saw its activity area undergo a major makeover. To create a more stimulating environment, a "space age" theme was chosen. Lunar landscapes decorated the walls, brightly coloured bean bags offered a colourful and comfortable seating option and themed fittings and toys encouraged learning and development. In the bright new activity area, Flotex was chosen as the preferred flooring due to its extensive colour range, design flexibility and performance. A year on from the installation, Deputy Head Teacher Joanne Bolton, says that the flooring has exceeded expectations and looks as good as ever. "The activity area is naturally a focal point in the school. It is important that we create a bright, stimulating environment that encourages learning," she says. "But it’s also important that the flooring, for example, not only supports that aim but also allows easy cleaning and durability. The performance of the floor has been excellent." Stars and planets were cut from the Flotex floor and inlaid in contrasting colours and designs from the extensive Flotex range.
