Retail centre freed from walked in dirt and moisture

In any public building, every visitor walks in dirt and moisture. This not only spoils the appearance of the flooring, it can also cause slips and hazards. Walked in dirt and moisture also accounts for up to 95% of maintenance costs. Effective entrance matting can reduce this by up to 65%. The architect specified Nuway entrance flooring to ensure that visitors’ first impressions would reflect the high standards employed throughout the building. Bonar Floors supplied Tuftiguard Classic for four entrances and Plainguard for the fifth entrance, which linked the car park to the retail centre. Tuftiguard is designed to protect expensive floorcoverings from dirt and moisture damage. It is versatile and hardwearing and is especially suited to areas with a high volume of foot traffic. The entrance matting in the car park is subject to the British weather, for which Plainguard’s rubber strips are ideally suited. Plainguard dries much quicker than any other mats and doesn’t curl in direct sunlight – ensuring it performs better for longer.
