Sanitized® is an antimicrobial treatment that as been added to the latest Flotex Offering to offer additional security and specific functionality.

This means Flotex now has a built in antimicrobial protection engineered to last the lifetime of the carpet, remaining effective even after multiple washings and wear. It inhibits bacteria, mould, mildew, and the odours & staining associated with these problems.

This protection will also prevent premature deterioration of your carpet by giving a deodorant protection against unwanted odours caused by bacterial breakdown of organic matter.

A massive boost in combating the development of MRSA on Flotex, controls the growth of E.Coli and other potentially harmful micro-organisms, inhibits the spread and growth of athletes foot fungi whilst being chemically stable in alkaline environments.

Sanitized® Antimicrobial treatment will not affect other carpet properties, it is registered for use in carpets by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and meets the requirements of the US FDA and EU Directive 2002/72 for use in PVC coming into contact with foodstuffs.

Sanitized® is used in skin contact applications (such as anti-dandruff shampoos). It is free from Arsenic, Cadmium or other toxic heavy metals, phenols or formaldehyde. It is not a carcinogen, mutagen, teratogen or a skin sensitizer. It does not contain VOC’s and does not accumulate in the environment.

Sanitized® treated Flotex has been evaluated against internationally recognised test methods (AATC 174, SN 195920, ISO 846). The performance has been verified by independent test laboratories (NAMSA BTTG) and test show that the antimicrobial effect is still effective after repeat washing.
